RobMusement Has Moved!

RobMusement is now on Blogger! You should see the bitchin' A banner and setup! Same great content, though. Lots and lots of Robalicious RobPorn.

I have tried to resist the lure of fanfic, but itsjustme has made me sneak over and look at the one-shots. She has great taste, especially if you're a lemon-y person!

Falling Down on the Job

I've been reading other blogs and slobbering over the Robalicious photos but, sadly, can't think of a single thing to say that I haven't already said. However, I have noticed that in photos of Rob (drool) where he isn't smiling, he looks like he's about 30. That remowes the "ew" factor of slobbering over him. When he smiles, he looks his age or younger. Interesting. Tortured Heathcliff look with scruff = 30 years old-ish and not as awkward to save photos on my hard drive. Clean-shaven and laughing = "He's hott but young enough to be...much younger than me. Ew. So Rob, instead of what I've said in the past, keep up the scruff. We'll all feel less guilty that way!!

Gotta see this one!

Whew! Thanks to E for the recommendation (from Twitarded's comments today!!

Blah

Need to go to New Moon again so I can think of smartass comments to make about it but probably will wait for the DVD. I may try some Rob drawings. If I do them, I'll only post good ones. That's if I get around to doing them! I'm pretty good at sketching people or so I've been told. All I'll need is a black & white photo to work from and there are tons of them on my hard drive!

In the meantime, I'll be waiting for the 6th Harry Potter movie. Didn't get to the theatre to see it (time and money never seemed to coincide) so am eagerly awaiting it! Hoping for the Star Trek DVD for Christmas too! That movie was pretty interesting - can't wait to see it again! Interesting premise, I think.

Stuff We Don't Like (and something we do like)

Well, the consensus seems to be that the Alice's vision of B & E pretty much does what a vacuum cleaner does! Have to agree, as I've said before. Just whose ass that one was pulled out of is beyond me! Talk about some serious asshattery involved...!

And yes, some of the Wolf Pack could have done with developing some six-packs. Taycob and the other guy (sorry, hot wolf guy, can't remember your name) with the cut abs really made the other wolves look a little sloppy!

The whirlwind of Rob interviews and photos is probably, sadly, about over. Gotta admit I am tired of the "no comment" angle on the Robsten issue. Who cares anymore anyway? I sure don't. My guess is that since neither of them will say, it is or it was but is no longer (that's what she said). Again, I say, Rob: shave every 2 or 3 days. Four days is just too scruffy.

And here's the something we all do like:

More Movie Thoughts

I agree with most of Jenny's review on Twitarded except I kinda liked Alice's clothes.

I have to admit that KStew's performance was really good. She managed to look sad without eye-fluttering (that I noticed). I like how Chris Weitz got so many things right: the passage of time during Bella's semi-catatonic months, Volterra, the nearly perfect synchronization of the soundtrack with the scenes, and the wolves. I don't like: Edward's wardrobe and the weird Disney/Sound of Music-ness of Alice's vision of Edward and Bella (presumably from BD).

The movie made me sad for a couple of days. Bella's misery was portrayed quite well and it was hard to separate myself from that sadness (I sometimes over-empathize with intense emotions in movies). Not many movies have this impact on me. I appreciate it when they do.

Saw the Moooooovie

Did I like it? Absolutely in some parts; not so much in other parts. Did it make me cry? Definitely. Even though I've read New Moon and was ready for it, the scene where Edward leaves Bella hit me hard. Every time I watch Bella collapse in the forest I'm going to cry my eyes out so I'd rather do that at home so will def get the DVD but probably won't go to see it in the theatre again. This was Taycob's movie - the kid did an awesome job. Robward was...glittery. Very glittery. Great scenes with the Volturi though. Very elegant and completely scary. I did not like watching Edward get beat up! I love the soundtrack. It fits the movie quite well. Some of the music made me sad before I even knew what parts it went with.

I'm glad I went to an afternoon matinee to see it but I think I'll go the first day when Eclipse opens. It'll be more fun with more fans there. The theatre I saw it in was 2/3 empty so there wasn't any screaming or squeeing. Kinda boring, actually. I did hear laughter when I held Pocket Edward up to the screen to take his picture. But I'm okay with that.

Favoritest Rob Vids

I first saw this on here awhile back. It is my all-time favoritest so I'm putting here so I can watch it as often as I want to!

This one is from itsjustme and is on YouTube. Another favoritest!

You gotta see this one! Thanks to Twitarded for showing this one! Since no-one but me reads my blog, I wanted to be sure I can visit this one as often as I want to!

Reviews favorable so far

Reviews I've read so far by Twibuddies are favorable thus far (and spoiler-free). Letters to Twilight said to leave your expectations at the door, but went on to say the movie was wonderful! Sounds like Chris Weitz really did an awesome job (and the yellow pants have committed suicide!)! Looking forward to it.

The only questionable thing was Robward's wardrobe. As I'm sure all of us have seen, the NM Pocket E ain't exactly the shiz. Will probably get him anyway to keep Twilight Pocket E company. May get Pocket J and Pocket B to keep them company...or not. I did watch Rob on Letterman on Weds. That was interesting. Rob was his usual adorkable self.

The Party Starts at Midnight...

...and everyone is sold out. For the next few days! Only a few more hours and crazy women (of all ages) will be drunk and/or disorderly at movie theatres all over the country! Why am I not at a movie theater? I'm too lazy and it's too cold. I'm going next week so the movie theatre people don't get lonesome for all the excitement from this weekend. I won't be drunk but I am willing to be disorderly if the occasion calls for it! Now that the movie is here, I'm kinda bummed - the waiting is almost over. Well, the waiting for New Moon is nearly over, that is.

I wonder when we can get the widgets for Eclipse?

Note to BeardRob

That earlier post was me being nice. Here's me being me: Dear Hottness-That-Is-Rob, Shave. More. Often. The End.

Me being me again: PS After you shave, I'll meet you behind the dumpster of your choice.

More and More Photos!

We are now overwhelmed with photos of Rob (thank goodness!). And of photos of Rob with the almost-a-beard thing going on. He is like are the hottest guy around! We all drool at his awesomeness - part of which is his jawline! He is the king of jawporn so wish he'd pretty please shave a little more often, 'kay? We'll lust after him no matter what, but the jawporn ain't the greatest lately. Why cover up that wonderful face with hair? Other places with hair are, of course, perfectly acceptable.

Awesome New Banner!!

Thanks itsjustme at RobMusement for the awesome banner!! You so rock!! I have GOT to learn how to do that kind of thing, if only out of curiousity! Thanks so much!!

Soundtrack Awesomeness and Stuff

I (finally) got the NM soundtrack and it is AWESOME!!!!! I love the first one but this one is even better!! Listening to Thom Yorke - must find more of his music!! On the whole, though, it is rather melancholy-sounding. Which is appropriate, considering what Bella goes through. If they get the music synched with the trailers I've seen so far, I'm going to cry like a t(weenie). Luckily my BFF is also a twitard and is going with me so she will understand.

Photos Everywhere!

After all of these months of nothing, nothing, nothing, we are now swamped with tons of Robalicious photos!! A feast after the famine indeed! Even the outtakes are pretty smokin'. How the hell can one guy manage to look hott in outtakes? Only our Rob. He is indeed Robalicious! Here's one for the road.

Team Don't-Give-A-Crapsten

Like we didn't all know. Srsly. Hell, even my 3-year-old niece knows and she doesn't have any computer skills. What do we do now? We wait!! They're young. He's fuckhawt and she wears roadkill on her head - there's a limited shelf-life on this one, guys. (As if anyone is reading my blog besides me.) I don't have any objection to her personally except she's shagging HHH!! Hellooo - there are people further up (that's what she said) in line for that shiz, girlfriend! I am, of course, not in the running and I'm okay with that. It's just that besides being pretty and skinny, she doesn't have all that much going for her. Bitch (mainly I call her that because she is pretty and skinny, not because she is shagging Rob)! However, being pretty, skinny, and doing Robalicious, is just fucking not fair!! As I've said elsewhere, fuckety fuck fuck fuck!

As I said, now we wait for it all to blow up. As fans, we can be annoyed, but as women, we know he'll get tired of her. Because there are millions of us out here that he could have instead!!

well Fuckitall

My attempt to add "Robward" to the Urban Dickshunary was unsuccessful. Hmmm...will try again another time. Unless someone beats me (that's what she said) to it.
That's it for now. Laters!

Can You Believe It?

The term "Robward" wasn't in the Urban Dictionary. It should be ... soon. I just added it.
Click here for New Moon Viewing Rules by Cutie. Well said!

I agree with my blog buddies: View, Squee, and resist the urge to thwap the shit out of t(weenies). Or their moms. Or their friends. Or their (heaven forbid) boyfriends. Ad infinitum, ad nauseum. It's best to go alone, as Cutie says, rather than take a nonTwiFan just for company. Saves explaining the fine points of the plot, where/how/why it's different than the book, and why we even care about the damn thing anyway (blasphemers!).

Team Robward all the way, here. Die, haters!

Crapity Crap Crap (saying this because I can)

One of the things I really like about having this blog is that I am free to say any fucking thing I want!!! I have to keep my other blog nice and clean because it is pretty much strictly artwork and nice stuff. And you know how mixed media artists. They talk about their muses and what "inspires them to create." I'm a mixed media artist. So what. BFD.

One odd thing about the Vanity fair shoot is the LobsterBibRob photo. Why on earth is he holding the very-phallic and partially denuded corn cob? WTF? Maybe someone can be merciful and do a good manip to remove it! And the bib, too. And what's up with the horse blanket (no offense to horses meant)? Please. Just please. Won't stop me from buying the magazine though!

I'm going to break my rule and show a little Robporn from my collection. I am not sure which blogster I got it from but I consider it extremely Robalicious. Oh hell, almost anything with Rob in it is fuckhawt!

Double Holy Shit!

You have GOT to go to RobMusement today! She has links to some kinda cool merch. I already have the calendar displayed in my office area (it is part office and part living room). Won't it be fun to explain to my sister and my 15-year-old niece when they come over next week to help me get ready to move?!! I am NOT going to tell how much older than HHH I am - it would be too embarrassing. Besides, I doubt if anyone in the HHH blogiverse cares. We would all (theoretically) be happy to find a dumpster or maybe just buy him some hotpockets in case he needs to build a fort again.

Check out the awesomeness of the Twitarded ladies! I'm so glad I found them! JJ and STY rock!

Well, enough shout outs for now. Skipping out to get me some Vanity Fair coolness!

Holy Shit!

Wow! Those photos from the Harper's Bizarre shoot are amazing (if you ignore cactus-legs KStew). Luckily itsjustme at RobMusement has them cropped. Happy happy! For a complete (and hilarious) breakdown of all the photos, please visit Moon and Unintended Choice at Letters to Rob.

Stan has written a very lemony chapter in her fanfic starring Jacob. For the link, visit her here.

Family Concerned

My mother pulled me aside and told me that she really thinks I should stop reading "those vampire books." She is concerned that it will affect my religious beliefs! I told her that, like Dungeons & Dragons (she worried about that, too), I am aware that it is FICTION and not REAL. That I perfectly understand the difference between fiction and reality. She still seems concerned.

Too funny! If she knew the extent of my Twilight addiction, she'd really be worried. I read lots of Twilight blogs but only the sarcastic ones. And the ones with lots of photos! Team Edward all the way but can sorta see the appeal of Jacob. The only sad thing is that with Edward, Bella gets to live with him forever. With Jacob, he will outlive her by many, many years. I still think he should be with Leah, not Renesmee! Imprinting with a baby? Whatevs.

I've got another friend who is a Twilight fan (although not as addicted as I am) to go and see New Moon with! Usually I have to go to these important events alone. Thankfully, my brother was here to go with to see the new Star Trek movie!

My primary interest in Twilight is not the vampire angle so much as the relationships. Edward and Bella, Carlisle and Esme, Emmett and Rosalie, and my favoritest couple, Alice and Jasper! The imprinting with the wolves is interesting too. How wonderful yet annoying to find your mate without control!

Laters!

Inaugural Post

Do I like Twilight? Books or Movies?

Of COURSE I like Twilight! Why TF would I choose this name for my stupid blog?

Twilight the book is way better than Twilight the movie. In fact the only redeeming features of the movie are RPattz and Billy Burke. Hey, I'm old. Billy Burke seems a little more in my age range than Rob.

However, there is no comparison to the hottness that is Robert Pattinson! I don't care how, what, where, or why they found him, but I sure am glad that they did! He isn't quite what I envisioned when I read the books but he comes fairly close. At least the hair color is correct.

Acting quality: varies widely from actor to actor. KStew is really good at blinking, frowning, & stuttering. She also has crappy posture. If you look at photos from her other movies, the posture and frown are also there. She looks sort of right to be Bella but I picture a softer, more vulnerable-looking person playing Bella. Who would I cast? No idea.

Billy Burke steals every single scene he's in! Srsly! The shotgun/halo scenes are absolutely hilarious! Just what you want to see before you introduce your boyfriend to your father: shotguns on the kitchen table!

Gil Birmingham isn't at all how I envisioned Billy Black but he makes it work.

Taylor Lautner as Jacob? Well, mostly for the pre-werewolf part he's pretty good. I know there was a huge dispute over it but since after he turned werewolf he looked 25, another similar-looking and older actor may have been better. Maybe they could have started a new guy in Eclipse. I must admit that he sure worked hard on the muscling-up. Kid is buff! He also dresses well for awards shows. Unlike RPattz, he clearly has either good taste or a good stylist.

Bella's high-school friends were annoying in the movie. They weren't as annoying in the books. Eric in the book is just a doofus. Eric in the movie is like listening to a really terrible musician who refuses to quit playing. Ew. The other kids are okay. I'm glad that Lauren didn't appear in the movie. She was a major witch-with-a-B.

What other comments can I think of? Nothing for now.
